Joyful Noise Acres Farm:  Group order from Green Pastures

Hello Everyone~

I am getting ready to place a group order from Green Pastures for cod liver oil, butter oil, etc. You are welcome to join this group order. Go “greenpasture.org” and see what flavors are available or if you prefer liquid or caps, etc.

Once we have orders for 12+ items, the price per 8 oz. bottle drops from $44.00/bottle to $34.00/bottle and there are also discounts on all the other products. I will not place the order until we have enough for the discount and I do require payment (check or cash) up front as most of these orders are in the $800 – $1000 range and I cannot front that kind of money. Shipping is estimated at $1.50/unit (not per order) and if there is any overage I will refund that at pick-up or collect if there is any shipping money due. Email me with you order and I will estimate your sub total and give you my mailing address “bbenson_5328@yahoo.com”

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I would completely understand if you would like to talk to Mary Beth about whether or not you would feel comfortable sending me a check or cash since you don’t know me. She will vouch for me :)

GFM :  Beautiful !

What a Beautiful Day. In the middle of January !

Hope you are all taking advantage of the abundant sunshine, and enjoying working outdoors.

All our vendors are preparing for the season, deciding what crops to plant this year, and getting fields ready for that crop.

Are there any produce, that you haven’t found at the market that you would like to be able to purchase there? Let me know and I will forward your suggestions to our farmers, and maybe one of them will be able to add that to their crops for this year. If you have any suggestions for anything you would like to see at the market, please let us know.

In the meantime, take advantage of what they do have available, and shop away.

Have a GREAT DAY !

J. Shelton

Green Fork Farmers Market:  Weekly Product List

Dear Green Fork Farmers Market Customers,

Sorry we are so late getting this out this week! Just got back from the agriculture conference that kept us away last week, and now we’re excited about a new year of growing and bringing you the best local, naturally grown products available. Don’t forget that our growers don’t use any chemical fertilizers or pesticides, and are committed to sustainably grown and humanely raised food.

We’ll be open all winter with a seasonal selection of greens, lamb, chicken, pork, beef, mushrooms, herbs, eggs, salsa, baked goods, lacto-fermented sauerkraut and other vegetables, jams and jellies, and olives and olive oil directly from the grower in California.

Check out this week’s attached list and then click on the website link below to fill your cart and place your order from now until Tuesday at midnight (we’ll give you a little longer this week due to the holiday).

Naples,FL:  Market News, Please read

I don’t know why the email didn’t go out this week my apologies. We are sold out. From this time on when your order is not picked up I will credit it to your account and you will have to reorder next week. I had several large orders that had not been picked up and they want them this week which cut down on the product available for everyone else. This has caused a problem to the customers who are on time and regularly pick up their orders. I know things come up but in all fairness to everyone you will have to get a credit and reorder product at another time. Also when you send me emails through the co-op if you don’t sign your name I can’t respond the website doesn’t automatically give your info. We are in the process of buying better cows and getting rid of the cows from our last source which are not producing enough milk or gaining the condition that they need to work for us. These new cows will have to be weaned off of their rations slowly so to keep producing milk and not dry up.

They are quality cows and will be good producers after the adjustment. However Jerseys are hard to come by and we have had to go out of state to purchase. Mike and his son will be traveling the end of this week to get them. They will have to travel non-stop to get them here between milkings.
We are anticipating a 3-5 weeks adjustment period. We are checking into the feed at the moment and it will be non-GMO and will be given at the minimal amount to keep cows in condition. By the end of March and beginning of April(if weather conditions hold) we will be getting our spring grass and everything will be back to 100% grass fed and the great milk that everyone is use to.
Not all the cows are fresh at this time but this will help in their transition period. They are due to calve soon and lets hope they have heifers for future milkers.
Thank you for your understanding through this process it is not by choice but is our only option.
Teresa and Mike Alday
